Identity
A short-form children’s book inspired by teachings from the Srimad Bhagavatam was developed into a fully integrated creative project - combining storytelling, illustration, and film to communicate timeless philosophical ideas in a modern, accessible format.
We approached the project as a multi-format experience, ensuring cohesion across print, motion, and digital platforms.
Narrative development: Adapted a classical dialogue into structured poetic form using traditional Sanskrit-inspired meter (Anushtubh & Trishtubh), simplified for modern readers
Visual direction: Created a consistent cinematic illustration style using AI-assisted workflows, refined through colour grading and print optimisation
Book design: Designed a 210mm square format with full-bleed spreads, balancing typography with immersive imagery
Film production: Developed an 8-minute short film expanding the book’s themes into a visual narrative
Print execution: Produced both digital distribution versions and premium hardback editions
The result is a cohesive storytelling ecosystem that:
Bridges ancient philosophy with modern visual culture
Engages both children and parents through layered meaning
Demonstrates how traditional wisdom can be reimagined for contemporary audiences
